Argus is the work horse of the team. He carries the camper and tows the trailer. The trailer carries Gryphin or Banshee, all the tires, tools and the generator -- approximately 6 tons! To see a picture of our "old dog", Click here!

1972 IH 1210 4x4 Pickup - Original equipment: IH 392 V8 and 4-speed manual transmission

• TH400 transmission with RV shift impover kit
• Allison torque converter
• Divorced 205 2-speed transfer case
• Front: Dana 44 with drum brakes
• Rear: Dana 60 Full Floater with drum brakes
• Stock IH Power Steering and Power Brakes
• Stock driveshaft

TEAM MEMBERS OF THE FUTURE

The following rigs are in progress. We just can't seem to stop collecting these hard working units -- we just can't bear to see them crushed. Despite our best intentions, only the RCS will remain a stock "garage queen". Why have toys if you can't play with 'em?

IH JINX was going to be the new ice racer with specific modifications based on our 15+ years of experience. A change in ice race chassis specifications in April 1995 forced us to modify his planned conformation. We haven't quite decided what we'll make him into now -- maybe a Tuff Truck for our daughter, Jenn!

1961 Scout Model 80 - Original equipment: 152 3-speed manual transmission, Dana 18 transfer case and Dana 27 axles

Planned Convertion to:

• 406 CID Chevy small block
• Trick Flow heads
• 5.7" connecting rods
• Flat top forged pistons
• SSI 30-30 Duntov racing cam
• 4778 Holley double pumper carburetor
• Weiand electric water pump
• Weiand 7357 intake manifold
• Hooker small block Chevy into Jeep headers
• TH400 transmission with full manual valve body
• Jeep QuadraTrack transfer case with a 2.72 low range ratio
• Front: 1975 Jeep Wagoneer open differential, 3.73 ratio, with Scout II disc brakes
• Rear: 1977 Scout II open differential, 3.73 ratio, with drum brakes
• Rear axle and suspension moved forward 3" and leaf springs mounted outboard of frame (similar to Scout II which lowers the body 3")
• Power Rack and Pinion steering from 1985 Ford Fairmont

Planned Conversion to:

• 196 IH 4 cylinder out of a 1975 Scout II
• Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear out of a 1972 Scout II

The Other Pickup

No, he hasn't got a name yet. Right now, he's just a rolling chassis. Possible build up as a work truck or as a puller.
